Administrative Information Management System (AIMS)
Project Description
Administrative processes in an organization can span long periods of time and multiple divisions, leading to poor service, errors, and unacceptably long delays. We are re-engineering and overhauling our client's administrative processes to dramatically improve service quality and process transparency. We are supporting the Information Technology Division of the Naval Research Laboratory with the management and execution of all aspects of this program, including long-term planning, requirement analysis, tool selection, custom software development, integration and operations.
Accomplishments
We have inventoried over 70 processes and analyzed them for complexity, potential benefits, and their candidacy for automation. We have customized and integrated an open source business process engine built on a REST architecture into our client's information infrastructure and we are currently piloting the integrated system to evaluate the cost and functional benefits of the new system.
